how do i copy a playlist from my ipad to my mac

Hi

I have an extensive number of playlists on my iPad which I want to copy on to another Mac. I can no longer locate the list of playlists on the iPad when I connect it to sync. The only Play list seems to be one you create to decide which tracks to sync.

How do I get the system to copy the playlist (not the files just the list) from the iPad to the mac?

I wish they would stop screwing up iTunes - they are making life difficult....
